ACC-9

Description

ACC-9 is a blend of detergents, inhibitors, and non-corrosive, non-abrasive solvents. ACC-9 penetrates and dissolves accumulated deposits, oil, and grease when sprayed on contaminated components of an air cooler, allowing for their removal via compressed air blowing or stream of water cleaning. All types of engine parts, including dirty air coolers, can be thoroughly cleaned with ACC-9.

During use, oil, grease, sea salts, dust, and carbonaceous material collect on the fins and tubes of air coolers. The engine room’s air is contaminated by these foulants. When air from the turbochargers goes through the air cooler, they are left behind on the cooling surfaces.

Deposits of these foulants can significantly lower the effectiveness of air coolers, which can impact engine performance. These deposits are penetrated by ACC-9, which also dissolves hydrocarbon and greasy debris and loosens insoluble solids so that a stream of water can be used to remove them.

The technique chosen will depend on the kind of machinery, the kind and quantity of deposits, and the engine manufacturer’s advice.
