The fluorochemical blend chosen is successful in lowering the surface tension of water as well as the interfacial tension between water and oil to a level that allows a stable film to form on the surface of the fuel, outperforming synthetic-based compounds.

In FFFP 6% solution concentration, you will realize that when protein is used in the formulation, it creates a thick visible blanket with outstanding burn back resistance. Also, in fresh or sea water, FFFP 6% should be used as a proportionate solution of 6%. 6 parts concentrate to 94 parts water is the perfect proportioning or mixing ratio.
Because the foam is made out of natural protein, it drains more slowly than AFFF agents. When blended with 6% water and released through correct discharge mechanisms, it produces stable fluid foam that quickly covers the burning fuel, resulting in speedier extinction and enhanced burn-back character.
