FFFP 3% also known as Film Forming Fluoroprotein Foam is simply film-forming fluoroprotein foam concentrate also known as (FFFP) that contains hydrolyzed protein and preservatives, as well as a blend of fluorinated surfactants for optimum synergy. The fluorochemical blend chosen is successful in lowering the surface tension of water as well as the interfacial tension between water and oil to a level that produces a stable layer on the surface of the fuel, outperforming synthetic-based compounds. Protein in the composition creates a thick visible blanket with excellent burn back resistance.
