Ameroid RSR

Description

For the purpose of removing rust and rust stains as well as passivating iron and steel surfaces, AMEROID RSR is a liquid mixture comprising a rust-dissolving acid, an emulsifier, and a passivator. For eliminating rust or rust stains from painted decks, overheads, and bulkheads in pump rooms and engine rooms, AMEROID RSR is advised. All kinds of ferrous metals can be cleaned with it, and it leaves metal surfaces passivated, preventing air corrosion and flash rusting.

Nonferrous metals can benefit from AMEROID RSR’s brightening properties. In all ratios, AMEROID RSR and water are miscible.

Floor plates, bulkheads, painted surfaces, etc.: to get rid of minor rust: Sweep or brush away any loose debris, scale, or rust. Use a wire brush if there are thick layers of rust. The surface that has to be cleaned must be clear of grease and oil for maximum results.

Mix 1 part RSR with 5 parts fresh or salt water to make AMEROID RSR. Apply liberally to surfaces that have rusted or corroded. Allow the solution to penetrate and remove deposits and stains for around 20 minutes. Use fresh water to completely rinse the surface. Apply a second coat if necessary to get rid of tough stains.
