Carbon Dioxide Extinguishers (CO2): They are suitable for electrical fires and do not leave residues. They are also used in fighting Class B fires (liquids like paraffin or petrol). This type of extinguisher is black-labelled.
Wet Chemical Extinguishers: This type of extinguisher is best for fighting fires fueled by cooking oils and fats, such as lard, olive oil, sunflower oil, maize oil and butter (Class F fires). They are yellow labelled.
