When the curing agent (hardener) is added to the epoxy resin and applied to the desired part it hardens the mixture and brings about the desired result. Examples of curing agents are Aliphatic and aromatic amines, Polyamides, etc. A certain level of skills and experience is needed when using this group of chemicals with regards to the time of mixture and application.
Acrylic Polymer-Based Concrete Repairs Chemicals
This class of chemicals are easy to use. They don’t require any level of expertise because they are already mixed compounds ready for use and they make the mixed mortar stronger. They are used as a polymer cement bonding coat, usually applied first on the surface of the concrete before the mixed mortar. Acrylic polymer compounds are a mixture of methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate, 2-Ethylhexyl acrylate, acrylic acid, methyl acrylate, etc.
