Description

FFFP 3% also known as Film Forming Fluoroprotein Foam is simply film-forming fluoroprotein foam concentrate also known as (FFFP) that contains hydrolyzed protein and preservatives, as well as a blend of fluorinated surfactants for optimum synergy. The fluorochemical blend chosen is successful in lowering the surface tension of water as well as the interfacial tension between water and oil to a level that produces a stable layer on the surface of the fuel, outperforming synthetic-based compounds. Protein in the composition creates a thick visible blanket with excellent burn back resistance.
FFFP 3% foam should be used in fresh or sea water as a 3% proportional solution. To use this foam product, the appropriate proportioning or mixing ratio is three parts concentrate to one part water.
Impact on the environment

However, biodegradable FFFP 3% foam concentration should be handled in accordance with local rules. In most cases, sewage systems can dispose of foam solutions made from this form of foam concentration; although it is imperative the local sewage operators are notified.
Note that there are no Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)or Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) in this product.
