The liquid oxygen scavenger NALFLEET Oxygen Scavenger 9-002 is based on carbohydrates. In feedwater and condensate systems, it is utilized to scavenge oxygen and preserve passive metal surfaces. It forms a magnetite layer that protects the metal in a boiler system by reacting with the oxide film on steel surfaces. This “passivation” process can be used to pretreat new boiler plants and to safeguard boilers while they are idle or being stored.

Description
The liquid oxygen scavenger NALFLEET Oxygen Scavenger 9-002 is based on carbohydrates. In feedwater and condensate systems, it is utilized to scavenge oxygen and preserve passive metal surfaces. It forms a magnetite layer that protects the metal in a boiler system by reacting with the oxide film on steel surfaces. This “passivation” process can be used to pretreat new boiler plants and to safeguard boilers while they are idle or being stored.
A chemical pump must be used to continuously supply NALFLEET Oxygen Scavenger 9-002 as soon as possible in the feed system. All types of boilers up to 2700 psig may use NALFLEET Oxygen Scavenger 9-002, however, it is most effective at high pressures where oxygen corrosion becomes rapid and the accumulation of metallic corrosion products can soon cause overheating and failure of generating tubes.
You can feed NALFLEET Oxygen Scavenger 9-002 straight up or diluted to your liking.
