Anchor grout is made from the combination of three types of substances, each of which facilitates the desired results when the grout is applied. It comprises cementitious materials which are major components of any concrete mixture; an epoxy made from epoxy resins which are typically polymers (adhesives and sealants) which produces the bonding effect, and a furan to help in the liquefaction of old concretes and enable the grout to permeate easily.
When an anchor grout is applied, it penetrates the openings within the anchoring system or on the surface of a structure, binds the components together, and modifies the durability of the structure by strengthening the concrete.
