Interline 984

Description

Interline 984 is a heavy-duty epoxy phenolic tank liner with two components that is solvent-free and chemically resistant. Interline 984 is designed to be a lining for ferrous and non-ferrous substrate security (including concrete). It can be applied as either a hand-lay or spray-applied Matcote system with fibre reinforcement, as well as a single or multiple-coat plan.

With extended recoat intervals created to help with contract schedules related to lining bulk storage tanks, Interline 984 has been developed to concentrate on Oil and Gas downstream lining possibilities. Crude gasoline cannot penetrate Interline 984 at temperatures higher than 90 °C (194 °F).

Interline 984 complies with EI1530 (Joint Industry Group standard). This is a prerequisite for quality control in the production, storage, and delivery of aviation fuel to airports.

• Typical Thickness: 300-600 microns (12-24 mils) when used as an unreinforced system for walls or as a laminate gel coat.
• 400-1,000 microns (16-40 mils) for use as a single coat on tank floors. 1,250-1,400 microns (50-56 mils) when used as a laminate with fibreglass. Thickness is dependent upon application method and specification.
• Method of Application: Plural Component Airless Spray, Airless Spray, Brush, Roller

Never let material accumulate in pipes, weapons, or spraying equipment. Flush all tools completely. After mixing paint units, they should not be resealed, and it is recommended that work resume with newly mixed units following lengthy interruptions.

On properly cleaned and prepped bare steel, Interline 984 can be applied right away. However, it is acceptable for application over the following primer:

• Interline 982
• Ceilcote 680M (to be used as a sealer for concrete application)
• Intergard 269
