Interline 399

Description

Interline 399 is a two-component epoxy novolac tank lining with high performance and high crosslinking that exhibits good heat and solvent resistance. it is very suitable to use Interline 399 on the internal lining of storage and processing containers at temperatures up to 130 °C (266 °F).

All areas that are going to be coated need to be contamination-free, dry, and clean. All surfaces should be evaluated and prepared per ISO 8504:2000 prior to painting. If required, clean up the weld spatter and round off any sharp edges or seams. In line with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning, any oil or grease should be eliminated.

The application of Interline 399 must follow the thorough International Protective Coatings Working Rules for the application of Tank Linings. Two packages of the material are provided together. Always mix a full quantity in the directions provided. Once the component has been mixed, it must be used within the designated useful pot life.

• With a power mixer, stir Base (Part A).
• Use the power agitator to fully combine the Curing Agent (Part B) and Base (Part A) mixtures.

Because it self-primes, this method cannot be applied to other primers. There should never be any overcoating of Interline 399 with anything other than itself. Interline 399 is appropriate for contact, according to International Protective Coatings, which you should consult.
